Scissorman respects the privacy of our customers.  Our privacy policy explains how we collect and treat any personal information you provide to us. 

Collecting information

Any personal information we collect is provided to us by you, our customers.  We use that information to sell and market products to you, and may also use the information to determine how to give all our customers better service and source interesting products. 

Disclosing information

We do not generally disclose personal information to others nor sell our mailing list.  Personal information about customers would only be released if required under law or as indicated in the Privacy Act 1988. 

Security of information

We take care in the storage and disposal of any personal information that you provide in your order.  As we generally don’t retain credit card information, we ask that you provide us with the credit card details you wish to use each time when placing an order.  We strive to ensure your ordering is as simple and secure as possible and therefore we use 128 bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology for transmitting orders on the Scissorman site.  This provides the Scissorman site with one of the highest levels of encryption protection for online ordering publicly available in Australia to provide you with greater confidence. 

However, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as totally secure.  Consequently, we have provided a number of different ways that you can order if you do not wish order directly online.  See the section ‘How to Order’ for further information. 

Storage of personal information

We do not necessarily store records of orders that customers have previously made.  While we like to provide you with the personal service that Scissorman is so famous for, we cannot remember all the products that our customers purchase.  Consequently, when you contact us again to reorder a product, please advise us again of the product you require or describe it clearly when placing orders.
